Application Procedure for Foreign Candidates

The application procedure for foreign candidates pursuing a PhD in India requires them to fall into one of the categories listed below:

Foreign Candidates:

   • Degree/ Certificate together with the year-wise Academic Record, duly authenticated by the Indian Embassy in the Country or its concerned Foreign Mission in India.
   • Accreditation status of the University/Institute last attended.
   • Photocopies of the academic Certificates and Marksheets for the qualifying examination.
   The onus of Certification for Equivalence from AIU is on the candidate and application will be considered only after the Equivalence Certificate is submitted.
2. All Foreign / NRI students are required to register themselves with the concerned Foreigners Registration Officer / Foreigners Regional Registration Officers, within 14 days of their first arrival in India.

   • Photocopy of Passport and visa

   • Details of Residence in India
   • Provisional Letter from the University in support of your student visa.
